Deep Ranjan wins bronze at Spanish Para Badminton International

Bhubaneswar : Odisha’s Deep Ranjan Bisoyee secured a bronze medal in Men’s Doubles SL3-SL4 at the Spanish Para Badminton International Level-2, 2025, held from March 04 to March 09 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.

Partnering with Manoj Sarkar, he reached the semifinals after a hard-fought quarterfinal win over Switzerland’s Dominic Butzberger and Maurin Stubi. They narrowly lost to India’s Naveen Shivakumar and Jagadesh Dilli in a thrilling three-set battle (23-21, 15-21, 16-21), securing a well-deserved bronze.

This achievement adds to Bisoyee’s growing list of international accolades, further strengthening Odisha’s presence in para badminton.

Other Odisha players participated in this event Dillaswar Rao and Subhrajeet Moharana but not won medal. .
