Puri district dominates State Youth Basketball championship

Bhubaneswar : Puri district's boys and girls team emerged champion in both categories and dominated the 37th Youth Basketball Championship, which concluded at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Cuttack on Wednesday.

In the girls final, Puri edged out Entertain Cuttack 63-45, while Puri boys won over OSC Cuttack by 73-65 and claimed the champion titles.

Sports and Youth Services Director Sidhartha Das gave away the prizes as the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony. Among others, State Basketball association Secretary Ashok Sahu, Asirbad Behera and Avijit Pal were present. .
